The Douglas County Sheriff’s Station is a municipal project that focuses on hardy planting design, low maintenance, and safety.  Using a variety of low water, low growing plants the site is able to thrive with little maintenance.  The mix of evergreen shrubs, flowering shrubs and ornamental grasses keeps the site looking good all year long.  The use of lower growing shrubs and wispy ornamental grasses helps with visibility into the parking lot as well as from the building looking out, creating a safe space for all.
